About

Penny Paterson BSc MCSP

Penny is a specialist physiotherapist with extensive NHS and private practice experience treating a full range of musculoskeletal conditions.  Her specialist areas cover the treatment of spinal problems, joint pain, chronic pain and fatigue.

Since qualifying as a physiotherapist from Southampton University in 2007, Penny has developed a passion for treating chronic and complex joint and muscle pain.  During her NHS career to date, Penny has held senior pain and spinal specialist roles at the Great Western Hospital; and continues to co-lead the ME/ CFS service in Swindon.

Penny takes an in-depth, holistic and individualised approach to supporting clients with pain and fatigue. She believes in treating the whole person, not just the problem.  Penny is very experienced at working with clients to identify potential contributing factors and she uses a variety of methods to help address these, including exercise therapy, life-style guidance, manual techniques, soft tissue release, acupuncture, reflexology and mindfulness.

Currently a SIRPA student, Penny is also completing her training to become a SIRPA practitioner.  Find out more at www.sirpa.org
